Forest Park (Kansas City, Missouri)

Forest Park was a 10-acre amusement park in Kansas City, Missouri that operated from 1903 to 1912, strategically positioned at the end of a streetcar line to boost ridership. Designed by Colonel John D. Hopkins and featuring mechanical rides, live entertainment, and attractions acquired from the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, it competed with other local parks while marketing itself as an alcohol-free, family-oriented destination before closing due to declining attendance and community conflict.
