Marine Gardens
Marine Gardens was an amusement park that opened in 1909 on the Firth of Forth shoreline in Edinburgh's Portobello district, featuring a pleasure garden, ballroom, and stadium that hosted football and greyhound racing during the 1920s–1930s before permanent closure in 1939. The complex saw most of its original attractions dismantled following military occupation during World War I, and the site was eventually repurposed after World War II.
