Meadows Center for Water and the Environment
The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment is an educational facility in San Marcos, Texas, located on the site of a former amusement park and centered around Spring Lake, an aquifer-fed system formed by over 200 artesian springs. Established in 1994 by Texas State University, the center offers glass-bottom boat tours, snorkeling and diving programs, and interpretive activities focused on the lake's ecological significance, endangered species, and water resource management research.
